Isles Players Talk Playoffs with Barclays Center TV

On Monday night the Islanders had a chance to check out game five of the Brooklyn Nets/ Chicago Bulls playoff series at the Barclays Center. For anyone who has been under a rock the past few months, the Barclays Center will be the Isles new home come 2015 and the Nets will be their future co-tenents.

John Tavares was among the players who had the chance to check out the new building and seemed to be impressed with the arena.

“You take a look and wonder how the setup would be for hockey,” he told Newsday.  “There’s still, I think, a lot to be determined, but it’s a beautiful facility, world class. Whenever we get there it will be an exciting time. It will be a nice new home.”

Alyonka Larionov and BCTV caught up with Tavares, Colin McDonald and Evgeni Nabokov to talk about the NHL playoffs in the video above.
