Report: Flyers Inquire about Nabokov

The Philadelphia Flyers have inquired about Evgeni Nabokov, according to a report by CSNPhilly.com.

A source told the website that the Flyers had talked to the Islanders about the 38-year-old goaltender. Nabokov has expressed interest in staying with the team, but it seems that he and the Islanders will part ways come July 5th when the free agency period begins.

During the regular season Nabokov had a 2.50 goals against average and a .910 save percentage. However during the post-season his play became inconsistent and Nabokov’s numbers dropped to a 4.44 GAA and a .842 save percentage.
