HELLO BROOKLYN: Devils vs. Islanders Pre-Game Report

The Islanders take on the Devils tonight in the first ever NHL game in Brooklyn, with face-off is set for 7. Tonight will be the second time in three days that these two teams have played a preseason game against one another. The Isles defeated New Jersey 5-3 on Thursday night at the Prudential Center, without the use of most of their top players.  At least 10,000 fans are expected to make the trip to Brooklyn to see the Islanders play in their future home.

Tonight’s lineup will see some more NHL players than Thursday’s game. Head coach Jack Capuano announced this morning that Evgeni Nabokov will get the start tonight and the Devils will start Corey Schneider.

Tonight’s lineup, courtesy of Arthur Staple:

Moulson – Tavares – Bouchard
Bailey – Nielsen – Okposo
Martin – Cizikas – MacDonald
Boulton – Sundstrom – Johnson

Strait – Hamonic
Donovan – MacDonald
Reinhart – Visnovsky
